Dunedin's Climate :: It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This

If you enjoy being able to do outdoor activities year round, Dunedin is the place to be. The weather in Dunedin is gorgeous. Most days call for clear sky's, warm temperatures and the perfect days for relaxing in the sun or playing your favorite outdoor sport.

Winter

In the winter months, our cold weather is considered warm for most of the country. Generally ranging around 60 degrees in January people still enjoy fishing, golfing and visiting outdoor venues such as Busch Gardens or the Lowry Park Zoo. You can't build a snowman here, but you can still enjoy walks on the beach, flying a kite at the park or an evening bike ride after work without getting too cold.

Fall

Fall in Florida is beautiful.  You can enjoy a stroll on the Pinellas Trail at night or sit on your back porch and have dinner outdoors.  The air is crisp and it's the perfect balance of sunshine and cool breezes.  Many people enjoy outdoor barbecues and parties at their homes this time of year because they can entertain for a large group without worrying their guests will be uncomfortable.

Spring

Spring weather in Dunedin signals the perfect time to be outdoors before the hotter summer months roll in. Golfing is in full swing and every fisherman is gearing up for a tranquil day on the water. The cool breezes off the water are refreshing while the sun is keeping you warm and the fish biting. Children enjoy playing at the park without heavy clothes on and hunting for Easter eggs outside when there chocolate won't melt!

Summer

Then there's summer. Florida generally has hot summers but we are fortunate to be near some of the best beaches in the country. Honeymoon Island State Park as well as Clearwater Beach are great places to spend a day with your family or friends playing in the water and basking in the sun. And homeowners who have swimming pools are getting their money's worth.  You can easily swim from April through November in Florida because the temperatures keep the water at a comfortable degree.
